Fashion blogger Lacey Anne Douthat:
The Glitter Gospel is my space to share what inspires me. Here I share my favorite things in fashion, beauty, and general life. I hope that through this blog I can inspire you to love yourself a little more and have more fun with your fashion choices and home decor.
I became a fashion blogger in fall of 2013. After much apprehension, I decided to take the plunge and follow my passions. I’ve had a love for fashion since I was a little girl. It’s been noted that on any given day I could grace you with 4+ outfits and then require that every single one be cleaned afterward. Bless my family is all I can say! Fashion was my escape.
I was bullied throughout the entirety of my childhood. I can remember that the one thing that made going to school worth it was deciding what I would wear the next day. I grew up in a small town in East Tennessee and we had very limited shopping options. As a child I would relish the days that the JCPenney catalogue would come in because I would map out my back to school outfits.
My main obsession has always been and most likely will always be shoes. I have always struggled with my weight, and I’ve always found comfort knowing my shoe size wouldn’t limbo like the scale often would. At one time I owned over 500 pairs of shoes and would go without food in college to afford another pair. #dedication
Blogging continues to be a journey. I’ve grown so much and I love being able to go back and see what I’ve accomplished as a fashion blogger. I’ve been lucky enough to partner with some amazing brands, I’ve made wonderful friendships, gained an instagram husband, and found a serious love for photography. I love being a blogger. I wouldn’t trade it for the world.
Thank you to my readers for your love and support. You make this dream of mine possible and you inspire me to keep going! Your comments, emails, and messages lift me up and I love being your friend.
