Happy Humpday! Today is basically the start to my weekend… so all I can say is praise the LORD! I feel like it’s been gloomy just about everywhere the last week… so I thought why not add a little color in this gloom? This pink J Crew Sweater is a favorite of mine and I absolutely love the color paired with a nice pop of yellow. So here’s to the end of doom and gloom and on to the weekend!
Sweater: J Crew (similar here and here). Denim: Articles of Society (size down), Flats: Zara s/o (similar here and here), Bag: Zara s/o (similar here and here), Earrings: Baublebar (now have 4 pairs!), Lip: Maybelline Color Jolt in Never Bare
Anyone else see this float around every single Wednesday? It’s always so funny to me because Mean Girls came out my senior year of high school… and man that feels like a million years ago. It’s crazy how something can stay relevant for so long. (Fun Fact: I still cannot help but laugh when I hear someone say “You Go Glen Coco”… not because it’s funny to me, but because I can’t believe that’s still a cool thing to say). I will say though… anytime I pull out this pink J Crew sweater that’s what comes to mind. I absolutely hate being stuck in dark colors for months… so I always bring a little color into what I wear. I love pink and yellow together and these flats were too cute to pass up during the Zara sale a few weeks ago. Of course they’re sold out, but I’ve linked a couple of really cute options for you that are under $100. Ya’ll know I love yellow… so these won’t be my last yellow flats!
I hope your week has been amazing so far! Things have been a little crazy for us. We head back to Virginia this weekend for another intensive class and will continue that once a month trip through the spring. I really love it! It’s nice to have a reason to get away every single month and we absolutely love the area. I always get a lot of questions via social media about why we are traveling and what Luke is going to school for. I always forget that things can get lost in social media and people don’t see every little thing I post. So I’ll just answer that quickly here: Luke is attending Liberty University for a two step program. He is currently a high school biology teacher. He has a masters degree from Belmont Univeristy, but wanted to further his education as he hopes to work in either administration or higher ed in the future. He will have his E.D.S. by the end of the summer and will then go directly into the Doctorate program. Through that program he will obtain his E.D.D. It’s so funny when I say that he’s in a doctorate program and people go oh, med school? No. There are tons of other doctors other than medical doctors.
Anywho, I am so so proud of him! We still have at least another two years to go… so it’s going to be a long road, but so so worth it!
I’ll have another post up for ya on Friday (SxS is back!) and I will have some free time on Saturday while Luke is in class so I will make sure the “Why we decided to go Vegan” post is up for you then!
