A Boho 5 Year Anniversary Wedding Shoot | Knoxville, TN

I’m so excited to share this anniversary wedding shoot with you guys. I mentioned on stories a few weeks ago that our wedding was so not our style now since things have changed so much since we got married 5 years ago. When Luke and I got married we were still figuring out who we were and just getting started in our careers. Learning more about ourselves through our marriage and the growth we have experienced as individuals has truly brought us to a wonderful place where we feel so comfortable and happy. (most of the time, lol WE ARE HUMAN!).

Our wedding was very nautical. At the time I swear there was only one style in the world and every single girl followed it. I call that era the takeover of J Crew and J Crew Factory. Bubble necklaces, layered cardigans, five prints in one outfit… I’m sure you remember, but wish you didn’t. Oddly enough, my dress was from J Crew and it’s the one thing I actually don’t dislike. It was very classic, light, and fresh and would work for just about any style.

Luke and I absolutely love neutrals with pops of color. That’s how we decorate and honestly how we have started to dress. It’s what we like because it’s a good balance of both worlds.

I love all things boho and eclectic. That’s pretty obvious from our house and a lot of times from my outfit posts. I’ve been dying to have new photos that better reflect out personal style so I could do a gorgeous gallery wall. I finally have that and I’m so excited.

The Details:

I was absolutely blown away by the little details incorporated into this shoot. From the thought put in by Tiff setting the mood with romantic wedding-esque music while we got ready, the bouquet of my dreams, a cake that deserves its own feature in Vogue, a dress by the designer I obsess over on pinterest, table settings that would make anyone swoon… it was above and beyond.

Maple Grove is a newer venue to the area and the Shankles family has done such a wonderful job bringing it to life. Every single space of the venue is photo ready and truly takes you to a different time. Honestly when you’re on the grounds you feel like you’ve stepped into a Jane Austen novel (in the absolute best way). It truly is a fairytale venue.

I truly cannot recommend doing an anniversary wedding shoot enough. Every girl loves the idea of getting married all over again… and this is the way to do it. If you feel like you need a refresh because you made some hasty decisions planning your wedding and want photos to remember milestones in your life and your marriage, have a redo.

It’s crazy to think that our wedding was five years ago this year, but I also look back and realize how much we’ve grown and how much we have been through. I’m so glad I have these photos to commemorate that and to have them on display in our new home.

Thank you so much to Tiff for the opportunity to capture these magical moments. All details for every vendor are listed below.
