What I Purchased + Try On Haul from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale

This is my first try on haul in 4+ years of blogging! How is that possible? I think we should make these a regular occurrence because you guys were loving this on insta-stories last night. I think the casual basics were the highlight (from what I could see) and I really focused on those because…
1. I am so bad to not keep a good stock of basics!
2. That has been a highly requested topic!
So this has been really fun for me! Our closest Nordstrom is 3 hours away… so I ordered online. Unfortunately it took WAY longer than I anticipated to get my order in… so I’m just now getting to post this even though I ordered almost a week ago. The sale goes live to the public on Friday… so this can be a little inspo for ya if you aren’t a card holder! Tip: If you aren’t… just go here and start your wishlist! Then on Friday those items will all be there and you can just pop them in your cart rather than having to sift through it all again.
I realized soon after I finished the try on that a few outfits didn’t have photos actually with me trying them on. Major blogger fail! I did these flat lays beforehand… so I have something for ya at least! This cardigan is sold out (sigh), but I anticipate a restock Friday (fingers crossed!) I took a size 6 in the sweater and could have done a 4. (That would be like a US Small) My Jeans were my favorite from the sale (high-waisted!!!!! I took a 27) and they fit incredibly well! The shoes were my #1 must have from the sale! Leopard is a necessity year-round and these are perfection! I took my normal size!
This dress was a last minute add to my cart last Thursday. Something about the shape and the color got me. It also sadly sold out… and I’m not surprised. This brand also did a romper in this fabric and it is so cute! I took a medium in the dress and I’m sure the romper would fit the same. The romper would also work with these amazing Marc Fisher OTK boots. (Love them and they are $149! I always go up to an 8 in boots!)
This jacket was a total must have for me. I have wanted a camo jacket FOREVER, but could never find one that wasn’t either really expensive or cheap looking. This one is under $40! I took a Medium and am returning for a small. I would definitely take a size down from your regular jacket size for sure! The jeans are also the SP black jeans and they fit so well! This shade sold out, but I have them here in a lighter shade. The fit is spot on! My t-shirt was also a must. (the exact print sold out… so many sighs!) I wear graphic tees from this brand regularly and was so excited to see them as part of the sale! I have another linked here and below in a print I want too! Under $30!
This sweater is selling out fast. It’s so so good! I love the fit, the drape is nice, and it even has the little thumb holes ( I love those with my sweaters! It’s $31.90 and feels much more expensive. I took a size small. The flat lay is with the SP black jeans and these are the Articles of Society ones. I like the SP better because they are high waist. These are still nice though! I have my halogen booties in the flatlay and these are the BP studded booties (SOOOO GOOD and under $80!). I took an 8 in the booties.
I was so excited about this dress! I ordered this one a few weeks ago just to have for a throw on and go dress… OH MY GOSH! It is so nice! It also has pockets which is a major win! I do wish I had sized down though! ( took a M and I needed a small!) This is sold out for now…. but this one is almost exact, but has a longer sleeve! Highly recommend! ($31.90!)
A good cozy outfit was a must for me! I’ve been wanting UGG slippers FOR AGES and never wanted to spend the money. These are amazing and well under $100. I took a size 8 in them (my regular UGG size). The pants were a no brainer! I wanted the striped ones… but even at 6 a.m. they were sold out! I went with basic black after that because you can’t go wrong with black! They are so comfy and $25! I took a Medium in the bottoms! The bra is part of the Nordstrom in house line and I am beyond impressed. It’s so soft, converts to a razor back, and feels amazing on! Oh… and it’s $18! The tee is the Lush raw hem! $15 and so good! These are going to come in handy when pairing and layering this fall and winter!
This dress was a total fluke, but so good! It fits so well and the color and fabric are GORGEOUS. I was really surprised when I opened this up! It’s under $30 and will be perfect for the beach this weekend! Sandals, espadrilles, and even just flats for a casual look will be so cute with this!
This top is EVERYWHERE right now! IT also comes in blush, but in the spirit of basics… I opted for gray. I love the detail and that it goes all the way to the back! So fun and will look great layered under cardigans and tucked into cute skirts! Oh… it’s also under $25!
Another easy, basic tee. This one has the choker detail and is under $20! I also got it in black! (I took a size Small BTW)So excited to have all these basic tees for fall! This is with the halogen cropped flare jeans and the halogen mules. I really like the jeans… they don’t fit quite like the picture… so I was thrown off, but wearing them for a few minutes helped them grow on me. They are also super soft which is nice! I need cropped jeans because my legs aren’t super long. Otherwise I have so much length at the bottom and have to roll them or cut them.
There are a few pieces that were not included here… I totally forgot to snap pics, but you can still view them on insta-stories until about 9pm EST today. I’m going to link the items below, but to see full try-on and review info head over to instagram!
