Hey There Ya'll! I’m Lacey Anne Douthat, the face behind this blog. I’m just a small town girl from East Tennessee who loves the way a new outfit or shade of lipstick can change your world. I am married to an amazing man who is the one behind the camera and the best insta-husband a girl could ask for. We have two dogs, Lemon the goldendoodle and Rosey (We call her “Rose”) who is a Frenchton (French Bulldog/ Boston Terrier Mix). I graduated from East Tennessee State University with a Degree in Fashion Merchandising and Marketing; so The Glitter Gospel has allowed me to find a way to not only put my degree to use, but do what I'm most passionate about.
You will usually find me plugging away at work, scoping out new playlists on Apple Music, snuggling with my pups, and perusing for new items to share online!
The Glitter Gospel started in 2013 in hopes to create a community of women who could find a deeper love for themselves. I truly believe that a tube of lipstick or a new pair of shoes can help change your world and teach you more about who you are. I'm a prime example. This space isn't just about me, it's about you; the reader! I have made so many wonderful connections through blogging with both my readers and other bloggers. In a world where it often feels so lonely, this space brings women together to talk about the things we all love, but also to speak our truths and get beneath the glitter.
I absolutely love hearing from you! Please feel free to always reach out. You can find me on instagram here, I have an amazing facebook group for like-minded women to share their lives with one another both good and bad, and you can tweet me here or email me at hello@theglittergospelblog.com!

I've had a love for fashion since I was a little girl. It's been noted that on any given day I could grace you with 4+ outfits and then require that every single one be cleaned afterward. Bless my family is all I can say! Fashion was my escape.
I was bullied throughout the entirety of my childhood. I can remember that the one thing that made going to school worth it was deciding what I would wear the next day. I grew up in a small town in East Tennessee and we had very limited shopping options. As a child I would relish the days that the JCPenney catalogue would come in because I would map out my back to school outfits.
Blogging continues to be a journey. I've grown so much and I love being able to go back and see what I've accomplished as a fashion blogger. I've been lucky enough to partner with some amazing brands, I've made wonderful friendships, gained an instagram husband, and found a serious love for photography. I love being a blogger. I wouldn't trade it for the world. This is my life beneath the glitter.
