Adding Color for Fall with an Orange Denim Skirt:
Fall is officially here. We had our first weekend, the pumpkin patches are open, and our mums are out on the porch. Now what do we do to keep things fun? I know, I love fall hues too, but sometimes you gotta mix it up. Adding a little pop of color here and there is a year-round thing, not just for Spring and Summer. You don’t have to go muted just because the seasons have changed. So let’s talk about that today.
I got this orange denim skirt a few weeks ago knowing it would be perfect for fall. I talk about the heat here a lot, but really until November we still see days in the 80’s, so going full on fall wardrobe doesn’t happen as soon as we would like. Skirts and shorts with sweaters are such a great alternative at breaking out new finds for the season without risking melting. I am seriously in love with this skirt. It’s the perfect shade for UT games without being too “carrot” orange. It also looks gorgeous with other fall hues like a deep plum. For sizing, go up! This baby does not have stretch!
Here I opted for something super light-weight, but I’ve also worn this with sweaters and with a tee and a denim jacket… there are a ton of options. I love a good, versatile piece. You get your money’s worth that way.
So go add some color to your fall wardrobe. There are so many gorgeous options this season. Orange is just the beginning. Say bye to the times that you thought you had to go totally muted and dark the second PSL hit the menu. You can make color work year-round. See here and here for more examples!
