Glamping in Style with the Vera Bradley Weekender:
As promised! I’m starting to share the details on our Glamping Adventure in the Smokey Mountains. This by far was my favorite family trip Luke and I have had since getting married. It was easy, stress free, and fun! I will be sharing more of what we did in the coming posts, but for today I wanted to share all about the bags that made packing for this trip so easy! Vera Bradley has been a household name for me for over 10 years. I can remember begging for a new tote to carry for college and every time a new print came out I just had to have it. I actually still have two pieces that aren’t quite on trend, but I can’t part ways with because my mom got them for me. They were part of the Breast Cancer Awareness line circa maybe 2008 and at this point my daughter may be using it someday. I’m not a hoarder, but little things like that mean so much to me. Needless to say, Vera Bradley and I have been partners in crime for a long time. They’ve really upped their game the last few years too! So many gorgeous pieces that are classic and clean and go with everything. They’ve even introduced some gorgeous leather pieces that are STUNNING.

This pretty is numero uno. This is the Iconic Vera Bradley Weekender. This is the larger version and seriously fits everything! I was able to pack four outfits, four pairs of shoes, pajamas, my toiletries, and my extra handbags all in this guy. Crazy! This Vera Bradley Weekender also has the best little trolley slider that goes right over the handle of your rolling luggage. If you’re an avid flyer this will be your life saver. I’m obsessed with this bag. The classic color is also everything! I took this on my trip this past weekend as well and got so many compliments. Red is such a statement color!

My compact Vera Bradley Weekender version is in a gorgeous print called Lilac Medallion. This is more of an overnight bag, or a good carry on when you’re traveling. Maybe if you are just amazing at packing you could pack for a full weekend in this, but for me my makeup, laptop, IPAD, and chargers went in here. It makes for an amazing work bag and has a great little slot for charging your phone! You can loop your charger straight through it and it holds it in place. Total win especially when you’re traveling and your phone is always dying like mine… thanks a lot instagram! (You know I’m right there!)
I can’t tell you how much fun it was to finally camp. Now, you probably won’t catch me in a tent anytime soon… but this was a good intro to camping. We were able to take the puppies, hike, have a fire every night and roast marshmallows… it was so much fun! I can’t wait to go back. We stayed at the LeConte Luxury Camping Resort that is literally just a couple miles from Downtown Gatlinburg. It also allowed us to come in the back way which if you have been to Gatlinburg before you know this is huge! Otherwise we would have taken another hour and a half to get there! I can’t wait to go back because they have other amazing accommodations like luxury safari tents and treehouse cabins that you can rent! So fun!
