How to Battle Stress Acne and Surprise Breakouts:

The most wonderful time of the year is here, but so is the stress that comes along with it. If you are like a lot of us… stress = breakouts. It’s the worst. I share a lot about acne treatment here and I rarely post about drugstore products. So, this is a big deal for me.

ZapZyt is what I like to call the real deal. It’s the BOMB! Why? The harsh ingredient that doesn’t really help, but is included in almost every acne product you will find at the drugstore and higher end brands as well: ALCOHOL! Yes maim. I said it. ALCOHOL! Literally going to kill your skin. ZapZyt doesn’t include alcohol and that was everything to me. The product is water based… which truly sets it apart from other acne products out there on the market!

The holidays are not my peak season… I struggle. I often get really low this time of year because to be honest; the holidays really suck when you’ve lost a parent. They really do. I’m also SO far away from my family and it is so hard to go home to them… I also tend to get sick this time of year (which I am now…). When you’re sick and you’re acne prone… this comes through your skin. Your body is purging and fighting infection and unfortunately that tends to show on your face.

Three steps to clear skin:

  1. Acne Wash Cleanser
  2. Pore Scrub
  3. Acne Treatment Gel

The Acne Treatment Gel is 100% my shining star in my skincare routine right now. It is based with benzoyl peroxide and truly does begin to clear the breakout within 5 hours. I honestly saw a difference in one hour! You can use this up to three times daily, but I would really just use this at night unless you have a severe breakout. I say this for two reasons: one, this will keep you from drying out your skin which actually makes you prone to more breakouts and two, this product can bleach fabrics and you’re much safer only using it while your asleep. Note: keep your pillow cases and wash cloths/towels white. This is good for many reasons, but in this case mainly to keep your colored linens from getting ruined and bleached.

The Pore Scrub actually has a cooling effect and is so great in the morning. I actually use this on my neck, chest, and back in the shower as well. Its active ingredient is salicylic acid which really works well with the benzoyl peroxide to clear those breakouts. The scrub is great too for getting the dead skin off to prevent breakouts from clogged pores. Exfoliation is key in clearing your skin.

I love the cleanser because it isn’t harsh. It doesn’t burn or cause redness which I really appreciated. Often acne cleansers are super hard on sensitive skin like mine and I don’t have to worry about feeling like someone lit my face on fire when I’m using this. I use this once per day at night when I shower. Using this nigh time routine has helped me so much the last few weeks!

The best part about this product? You can get it at Wal-Mart and each step is under $10! WOW!

Do you struggle with breakouts? I honestly thought these days were behind me, but about a year ago acne crept back into my life. If you feel the struggle tell me about it in the comments. I’m always looking to hear new tips and tricks too!

Remember you can get ZapZyt at Wal-Mart and each step to the system is under $10!

**Please note**

I still use other products in my skincare routine. ZapZyt like many other acne treatments can be drying and you should limit use if you experience irritation. You will see results within hours and this is a great system to keep in your routine to keep the breakouts from coming your way in the first place. I am by no means a dermatologist and you should always consult with a doctor if you have concerns about using a product.
